Originally from Belgium, he studied photography and film in Europe, and worked as a tourism product manager in the 1990s, venturing out around the world, photographing many of the finest hotels and resorts around the world, before finally settling in Thailand.
Based out of Bangkok David has explored much of Asia in the last 20 years, undertaking assignments to photograph destinations and leading hotels in Thailand, Vietnam, Korea, Japan, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Indonesia, and China. As well as photography, and photography tours, he also does web-design and provides expert consultation to the tourism industry. His photography tours enable beginner as well as advanced photographers to get to stunning locations and viewpoints to capture wonderful images. In recent years he has developed photography tours in more remote places, including Myanmar’s Chin state and the Mergui archipelago. Publications in various online channels and mediums: TTR Weekly eMag, Myanmore Magazine, Phuket Gazette, thetravelmagazine.net, Expression Magazine, Gisborne Herald New Zealand, HLN Belgium, Primo Magazine, Fah Thai Bangkok Airways inflight Magazine, Airasia Inflight Magazine and Thaiger.
He also worked on main stories in TRAVEL + LEISURE magazine (Mergui Cover piece) and Bhutan and GEO, a family of educational monthly magazines similar to the National Geographic magazine. It is known for its detailed reports and pictures.
